Are you looking for a loving community to be a part of? Come find Grace in the Heart of Penticton!
We are a close knit community of Christ followers who are passionate about sharing the gospel in Word and deed. We are a caring and compassionate people who live out the good news wherever God places us both in the marketplace and throughout the Okanagan. We’re not a mega church in the traditional sense of that word though through our ministries we have helped thousands of people come to know and follow Jesus Christ around the globe. Because of this we are known as the small church that could.
As a small church that is land locked we are content to be used of Christ to impact our local community and wherever else He directs us both in person and through our partners in the Gospel. We even joyfully help grow other evangelical churches in our community for His glory.
We are also a part of a larger tribe known as the Mennonite Brethren Churches in Canada and Globally. And we joyfully partner with them to reach beyond Penticton and the Okanagan with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Weekly, we meet on Sunday mornings for worship and fellowship. On Tuesdays we partner with God’s Kitchen to reach some of our community’s most needy, Wednesdays are Bible Study and Small Group fellowship days, Thursdays our quilter’s group partners with MCC to produce warmth for the poorest of the poor in third world nations, and Fridays youth are encouraged by Pastor Scott’s ministry to grow and follow Jesus.
Throughout the week, on an appointment basis, Pastor Gail brings spiritual direction to many who want to grow beyond their current circumstances, to establish healthy boundaries in life and to grow passionately in love with our LORD. And Pastor Blake is the teaching geek that prays, preaches and otherwise brings peace and order to Grace in the Heart of Penticton.
Of course without all the willing and maturing saints that support and do ministry around Grace we’d come to a complete stand still. After-all, God made us to work together as His body.
So if you are looking for a good church home where you can attend on a Sunday without being welcomed and noticed this is not it. We’re too friendly for you to hide here!
Besides, everyone is someone at Grace from pre-believer to committed member. And you will quickly realise that truth because we believe every member has a job to do in Christ’s Kingdom (Eph. 4:12; Rom. 12:4-12). So if you’re looking to serve Him with people who genuinely love to serve Christ, come find Grace in the heart of Penticton. You’ll be glad you did!
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).
“To be a place where even the abandoned, the neglected, and the marginalised find “He who sticks closer than a brother” and know the love of God is truly welcoming them into God’s Kingdom.”
